Balmain Spring/Summer 2017 Paris Fashion Week

It is Fashion Week in Paris and honey the glory of fashion is shining bright! Balmain's collection has by far been my favorite so far. The flowing fabrics, the color scheme, the jewelry, the shoes, basically everything. Take a look at the show in it's entirety below.

Kim Kardashian was on the front row at Balmain to see her friend Olivier Rousteing’s latest collection. Did I mention she wore a piece from the collection as well?!

Style in the City-Fashion Moguls Memphis Take Flight Fashion Show

I had the pleasure of attending a great fashion event on the campus of the University of Memphis Monday night.  I arrived excited to see the fashions and snap pictures for the blog. I was not disappointed.  The President of the organization, Christina Dang, along with the board of the organization, did a great job of showcasing talent that thrives here in the city. With designs from Thrityone 22 Boutique, Tabitha Josephat, and many more, the runway was filled with trendy and fashion forward threads. Take a look at a few snaps from this fabulous event.

I met stylist someboutju backstage and fell in love with this top!

Speaking of love.... @mrperfectthekid

The hostess were dressed as flight attendants to go along with the take flight theme.

These dolls were my favorite experience of the night! @mega_villain and @_deevuh/ are what #memphisstreetfashion is all about.

It's great to met other fashionable stylists like @lae.tarantino. How cute is that red clutch?!?

Style in the City- The Weight is Over Fashion Weekend

Memphis was graced by Ashley Dean- Parson with the first ever plus size fashion weekend this past week. Every day was filled with a day of fashion, business empowerment, and cutting edge ideas to push the Memphis fashion market forward. Ashley Dean-Parson is the owner of Dean of Fashion Glamtique, which is a plus size clothing boutique and full service salon. Her vision to create not only the first all plus size fashion show 5 years ago, grew into a fabulous weekend filled with wonderful events.

The first event was Hustlers in Heels! This event was all about small business empowerment and included panel speakers Andrea Johnson of The Bubble Bistro, and TaKeisha Berry Brooks of A Natural Hair Affair. These two business owners are VERY business savvy and shared key business tips and concepts to growing a successful business.
